HOME Groups

Building Relationships That Make a Difference

Q: What is a HOME Group?
A:  A Home Group is a place to befriend others in a climate of acceptance and a place where genuine and caring relationships can develop in the context of Christian growth. Home Groups usually consists of 6-15 people.

Q: When and where do HOME Groups meet?
A: As the name indicates, we meet in homes – usually every week or every other week depending on what the group decides.

Q: What happens in a typical HOME Group meeting?
A: Home Group begins with a time of fellowship and sharing, while light refreshments are being served. Twenty to thirty minutes are set aside for reading and discussing the Bible, followed by a time of prayer about needs and concerns.

Q: What are some of the benefits of being in a HOME Group?
A: There are many! Some of the benefits are:

•  Making acquaintances that often lead to friendships
•  Practical everyday help based on the Bible
•  Nurture and support in a caring community
•  An easy way to become a part of the life of CCC

Q: How can I join a HOME Group?
A: Once a year, in the fall, we have a special season of signing up. You can also join at other times of the year, simply by contacting a HOME Group leader or talking with Pastor Steve Sandvig or Lois Lund.
